The Main Article on Architectural ARCHITECTURE

Architectural architecture is the creative process and the output of designing, planning, and building structures or other architectural structures. Architectural projects, in the conventional material form such as buildings, can be perceived as personal works of art and as cultural symbols. The output may take the form of a single structure, a building or part of a building or a combination of a structure and building. In general, buildings represent the outcome of a creative process involving architects, builders, planners, consultants, and other professionals.

Architectural architecture is usually defined by its relationship to space, people, climate, buildings, engineering, design, construction, materials, utilities, and environmental considerations. A structure is said to be Architectural when it is used for the planning, design, construction and/or maintenance of a living space or for the design and construction of specific elements of a structure. Buildings on the other hand are said to be Architectural when they are used for specific purposes other than housing. These purposes could be for business purposes, education purposes, health care purposes, public amenities, etc. It could also include structural elements for the support of the building.

The concepts of architecture are well known from the beginnings of time, however, the architectural significance of some aspects have become the subject of research and interest in recent times. It has come to be accepted that architecture does not focus on just the physical structure of the buildings, but also the materials and interior spaces within them. This is further extended by the fact that buildings have become the main ensemble in a modern urban setting, where homes, offices, businesses, hospitals, parks, etc. are located.

The discipline of architectural studies seeks to understand the interactions between humans and their physical environment, and their impact on the internal functioning of the buildings and of course on the external setting too. A large part of this field is concerned with sustainable design, which seeks to ensure the long term effectiveness and efficiency of buildings through the use of unique building design principles. This is in addition to other important areas such as energy efficiency, space utilization, cost effective design, environmental impact, and maintenance and renovation.

In the field of E Architecture there is the integration of the practical with the aesthetic in building materials and furniture. In E-architecture, the practical implementation of the architecturally inspired designs is carried out to the fullest. For instance in certain cases where the client does not have a specific idea about what form of architecture he would like to implement, his designer can suggest and provide him with various options, which can range from sustainable design to earth friendly design. He may also help in deciding on the use of building materials, such as the kind of wood to be used, what type of paint should be used, how many glass panels are required, and so on. When E architecture is carried out correctly, there is an increased chance of achieving the desired aesthetics and functionality of the structures that are being designed.

Although the main article focuses on the main architectural areas in architectural design, this does not mean that ARCHITECTURE has no place whatsoever in the architectural world. A main part of the definition of architecture itself is that of the spaces created by it. Thus, it is very important to understand the difference between ARCHITECTURE AND NAVIGATION. As maritime scholars like Edward Said have argued, “In the end, the space taken up by buildings in the earth is neither architecture nor sailing. It is port, a place of gathering.”
